Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (HKCTC), Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP) had jointly organized a seminar on supports to testing and certification industry. HKBIO is one of the supporting organizations of the event.

The seminar introduced some major supporting services for the testing and certification industry. It covered the accreditation services for laboratories, the Innovation and Technology Fund, the SME Funds and services of Science Park, e.g. shared laboratory facilities. The seminar also included a tour to Science Park's Material Analysis Laboratory, Reliability Laboratory, Failure Analysis Laboratory, Biotechnology Support Laboratory and Wireless Communications Test Laboratory. There was also a session by ICAC to introduce the importance of professional integrity, the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance and corruption prevention services provided to the industry.
