JCIPO
The organization was established in March 1990 with the aim of promoting the establishment and development of a healthy and stable economic relationship between Japan and China by expanding direct investment from Japanese companies into China, taking a medium- to long-term perspective. In June of the same year, China established the China-Japan Investment Promotion Committee, with the Ministry of Commerce as its core counterpart.
Given the increasing complexity of bilateral business between Japan and China and the international economic landscape, the organization continues to focus on medium- to long-term perspectives, striving to achieve sustainable development of a healthy and stable economic relationship between the two countries while further improving the business environment for Japanese companies in China.
During this visit, we will meet with the organization's head, Mr. Oka. He is a former Executive Director of the Mizuho Bank, as well as the Chairman and President of Misuho Bank China. An experienced expert on China, he holds permanent residency in China and has served as a visiting professor at Renmin University, Nankai University, and Dalian University of Foreign Languages. He has also spoken at events such as the Davos Forum and the Boao Forum and has been awarded the Shanghai Magnolia Silver Award.
We are excited to visit some of Japan's most renowned flower viewing spots :
Shinjyuku Gyoen
The park features three main areas: a Japanese garden, a geometric garden, and a scenic garden showcasing expansive grasslands, each with its unique charm. Shinjuku Gyoen boasts up to 68 varieties of cherry blossoms, which are widely distributed throughout the park. Particularly in the Japanese garden, scenic garden, and formal garden, these areas have the densest concentration of cherry trees. Strolling through, visitors can see magnificent seas of blossoms everywhere, making it a delightful experience for both photography and flower viewing.
Moreover, Shinjuku Gyoen is not only a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo, but it is also a historic royal garden that was once used for "Hanami" (flower viewing) parties. Whether it’s the iconic Somei Yoshino, mountain cherries, or the double-flowered and weeping cherries, every corner is filled with poetry and romance.
This year, the expected blooming period is from March 21 to 24, which coincides perfectly with Japan's most beautiful cherry blossom season!

Chidori-ga-fuchi
The Chidori-ga-fuchi area has been known for years as a cherry blossom viewing spot, and Chidori-ga-fuchi Park is filled with many cherry blossom-viewing visitors every year. The best time to view the Somei Yoshino and the Yamazakura Mountain Cherry trees is from late March to early April, when the park's 170 cherry trees are in full bloom. From February to May, Rapeseed plants also bloom in yellow, creating a vivid contrast with the cherry blossoms.

Yozakura(Night cherry blossom)
The tradition of enjoying night sakura can be traced back to the Nara period (710-794 AD). Initially, people appreciated plum blossoms, but later, during the Heian period (794-1185 AD), the focus shifted to cherry blossoms. At that time, nobles would hold celebrations under the blooming cherry trees, which included poetry, food, and drink. Today, night sakura has become an indispensable part of Japan’s cherry blossom season, with Chidorigafuchi being a well-known spot for taking photos.
We will arrange to enjoy Midtown Blossom, offering a truly enchanting night sakura experience in the bustling Roppongi area. As the sun sets, the city lights twinkle, and the illuminated cherry trees come to life, immersing you in a vibrant atmosphere created by the beautiful nature and the lively blend of Tokyo’s bustling nightlife. This is a magical fusion that promises an unforgettable night view of the cherry blossoms.
