HKBIO was one of the Local Host Partners of Asia Biotech Invest 2013 held in Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Hong Kong.

Jointly organised by AusBiotech and Beacon Events, Asia Biotech Invest 2013 was designed to provide a forum where Asia’s growing life sciences investor community could meet with biotech innovators from across the globe to discuss investment and partnership opportunities. May 14-16, 2013

Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair was held on May 14-16, 2013 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre by HKTDC. HKBIO members were offered an exclusive participation package to exhibit at the fair.

The fair featured well-thought out themed zones including Medical Supplies and Disposables, Laboratory Medical Products, Hospital Equipment and Rehabilitation and Elderly Care, etc. It was recognised as an effective promotion platform that enhanced brand image and reached the right buyers around the globe. April 17-26, 2013

Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization (HKBIO), Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) co-organized the Hong Kong Biotechnology Delegation, comprising prominent Hong Kong biotech companies and organizations, to exhibit at the BIO 2013 International Convention at Chicago during April 22-25. Prior to the Exhibition, a side mission to San Francisco was also organized to visit key biotechnology companies, research and educational institutes during April 18-19. The Hong Kong Biotechnology Delegation has become a tradition, providing opportunities for delegates to meet international biotech players and explore collaboration opportunities between biotech industries of Hong Kong and worldwide.

Co-organized by Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization (HKBIO) and Molecular Biomedical Sciences Students’ Society of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Prof. Albert Yu, HKBIO Chairman and Vice Director of Neuroscience Research Institute and Chief of Laboratory of Translational Medicine, Institute of Systems Biomedicine of Peking University, delivered a talk on “Hong Kong Biotech and its Future Development” for the students in HKUST.
