Professor Grace Zhou is Director of Shenzhen International Institute of Biomedical Research (SIIBR) in China. She received a Ph.D from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and was former Associate Professor in Microbiology at University of Chicago.
She has been active in the field of virus infection and host immunity, virus latency and activation research, and herpes virus for therapeutic tumor vaccine transformation for 19 years. Her dedication and contribution in herpes virus and cancer research has been widely recognized by international counterparts. She is the first and corresponding author of 24 journal publications (11 articles at the Proc Natl Acad Sci USA JCR area; 13 articles at Mbio and J VI, over 964 citations) and 7 international patents. Her oncolytic virus immunotherapy project successfully bided financial assistance in the "13-5 Key New Drug Creation" in the Gene Therapy Category from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China this year.
