As Hong Kong is hosting a world congress to commemorate its 20^th Anniversary since its return to China, we are honoured and privileged to extend our warmest invitation to everyone in the world to join us at Hong Kong Biotech Horizon 2017 - “Global Congress on Biotechnology: Diagnostics and Therapeutics”, to be held during 22-25^th November 2017 (Wed – Sat) at the iconic setting of Hong Kong Science Park (HKSP).

To facilitate East-meet-West exchange of expertise, views and ideas, the Congress will be conducted in English and Mandarin with Simultaneous Translation in both languages. All speakers can feel free to communicate in their native language for the most effective, personal and insightful meeting.

This Congress is part of Hong Kong Biotech Horizons (HKBH), the flagship event series run by Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization (HKBIO) whose objective is to bring together communities of scientific researchers, technology developers and entrepreneurs towards progress in translational science. The event series typically comprise of conference symposia and public talks engaging the public community and raising awareness of the importance of science in society.

Covering more than 60 countries across Asia, Europe and Africa, accounting for 30% of global GDP and more than 30% of the world’s merchandise trade, the B&R Initiative seeks to promote market integration and forge new ties among different economies, with the objective of driving deeper regional development by promoting cooperation in a variety of areas, expanding business opportunities and encouraging people-to-people exchanges among different regions.

Hong Kong effectively leverages its prime position as “super-connector” between Mainland China and the rest of the world during China’s transformation under the B&R initiatives.
