Call for Poster Abstracts

2016 ICBEM Scientific Program Committee is now accepting abstracts for poster presentations at the 12^th ICBEM which will be held May 25-28 in Hong Kong.

This call for poster abstracts is focused on current research practices in brain energy metabolism related to the theme of the conference, "Energy Metabolism and Neuron-Glia Interactions in Brain: from Molecular Mechanisms to Novel Therapeutic Approaches". The poster session will provide presenting authors a platform to showcase their innovative research and provide those interested with the opportunity to learn more about the research work and talk with presenters.

Abstract Submission Instructions
To submit a poster abstract for consideration, read the abstract guideline first and then send abstract in a Word (.doc format) to icbem@hkbio.org.hk with subject title "abstract". Abstract Format Guidelines

Abstract must contain the following:

1. Title – Write your title in sentence case. Do not bold or italicize your full title.

2. Keywords – all words critical for a subject index. Choose up to five keywords for abstract search.

3. Affiliations/Organizations – please write in full (no abbreviations)

4. Author(s) – List all contributing authors to the work described in the abstract. The presenting author must be listed in the first author position.

5. Contact information for first author – email, address and telephone number. First author will receive all correspondence regarding the abstract.

6. Abstract text– should not exceed 2,000 characters(about half A4 paper) excluding spaces.

7. Use standard abbreviations. When using abbreviations for chemical compounds, spell it out in full for the first mention. Do not abbreviate compounds in the abstract title.

8. Do not include pictures or graphs in the abstract.

9. Prepare your abstract on an A4 size paper in MS Word Format. Please make sure to include the proper extension "doc." in your abstract file.

10. Send to icbem@hkbio.org.hk with subject title "abstract".
